Reviews
I have to say it was pretty descent. Ordered The Labyrinth burger which came with a very cool sticker 😆. I don’t know what they did to it but it tasted pretty good and the beef tasted fresh not frozen. I did ask for extra Lux sauce which made the different as it had smokey flavour. Chips were descent, not soggy (they use good boxes) and their garlicky Club sauce was perfect for dipping. I think they also used Maldon sea salt for the chips which is fantastic! I just wish the chips had more rosemary. The salad was very fresh - I could taste they squeezed some fresh lemon on top, it had actual mango pieces as well as fresh herbs and fresh guacamole! Yes, actual mashed avocado! Not bad at all. Felt like it was made by a chef who cares and likes his job. Thank you!
We had the lost in translation (chicken thigh burger with wasabi paste, avocado and ginger) and the chicken katsu fries. Everything tasted great (the burger was worth at least a 4 stars), except that it was all a little too salty (which was a little annoying and thus decreased my enjoyment of the food).
Not a burger fan but this is my new favorite go to in Edinburgh for sweet potato fries. Tip: Add bacon bits and cheese for some extra feel good. It’s cheap and cheerful.
The Oreo milkshake was recommended and instantly became a favorite, so definitely go for that.
Best to book a table before you head there or place an order on Deliveroo.
We had the burgers at Luxford both sit in and through delivery. A good variety of choices when sit in with the special menu, and well-thought mix of toppings. The patty was fine and overall the burgers were delicious. And I prefer the beef over the chicken ones, not particularly impressed with the fried chicken though - I tried that through delivery which may impact the quality. In addition, their delivered burgers were well packaged with foil which I appreciated.
The burgers were great, especially the breakfast club burger. The sweet potato fries were so good, they were crispy and didn't get soggy at all. Definitely recommend the beef burgers. The chicken tenders were also really moreish especially with the lux sauce. Absolutely would recommend but try and get a seat close to the bar, it's very busy with delivery drivers.
Absolutely amazing burgers! Great value l, portions sizes were good and staff were friendly. We tried the Chicken Run, the Westworld, sweet potato fries, pint of Camden Hells lager and a Biscoff/Rocky Road milkshake - all of which were brilliant! We visited for dinner before a gig at the Queen's Hall just round the corner and found parking fine at the Just Park across the road. We pre-booked a table online but they also do a lot of takeaway/deliveries.
Ordered from the Glasgow branch - Do not order there! It's way too expensive for what it is.
We ordered from deliveroo as it was well reviewed but discovered afterward it was only because they offer a £5 discount if you leave them a 5 star review. What a scam! Very disappointing business behaviour.
Love this place very relaxed setting
